Yantic River Inn in Yantic

I got the Fish & Chips. It wasn't just good. It was, by far, the best Fish & Chips i have memory of eating. I can't stress enough how amazing this food was. Even the fries were above and beyond.

We had an awful meal tonight. Overlooking the un-tended gardens, outdated decor, and general look of neglect from the outside...Between the mushy pastas, the bland dishwater-tasting sauces, and the dry overcooked fish, we were hard pressed to find anything we enjoyed about our dinner. Even our childrens' mac and cheese did not taste good (at $6 a portion!) Our saving grace was our server, who was new on the job, but doing her best. She was friendly and courteous, and genuinely apologetic about our experience. Sad to say however, we will not be returning unless the quality of the food comes up significantly.

The updates to the interior made this place more inviting, and the live music was enjoyable. Tasty steak and cheese too!

This place is great I love the food the staff is great franklin is awesome and I love seeing/doing there shows

I had a great dinner and the service was fabulous. The food was delicious and presented very well. Will return in the near future.

Great food. The band is the best . Enjoy great classic rock music while having dinner and slide into the rest of your night drinking and dancing. Great fun. Very family friendly.

The wings were light, crispy and flavorful, as were the fish and chips. Very good food, definitely deserves more recognition.

I went for lunch, the temperature inside the restaurant was on the brisk side so I wore my jacket the entire time. The glasses were heavily water spotted. My starter was really good as was the fries that came with my meal, however the sandwich was so so. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. However I believe the price of the meal did not match the quality. This was my first and last time eating at the yantic river inn

Excellent food amd service. Reasonable price, enough food for two meals. My husband, daughter and I love their special buffets.

Pleasantly surprised. Parking was confusing and there was no apparent activity but once we were seated the waitress was quick and attentive. The chowder and fritters were outstanding.

It was an excellent evening and the food was wonderful.

Starting to be an event venue featuring Ray's Catering- liked the meatballs and stuffed mushrooms.

Food cooked to perfection, niche entertainment and banquet facility..would return.

Had a group of about fifteen people. My Steak Tips where cold, and had a sour taste to them. Just about everyone of are meals where cold. Wait staff was the only good part of are meal. Very disappointed!!

A very relaxing, comfortable place. The staff is friendly, and the food is great.

The live music was fantastic. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. Seeing the owner come out and play the xylophone with the band was a special treat.

What lovely evening at the NEW Yantic River Inn! The owner is very accommodating, the food was delicious, the band was phenomenal! The decor is subtle, old albums, beautiful mural, clean and service was great. I only wish the name would change to give it new spark. This establishment has been around for many decades, but, there is a new start being made. That's my only suggestion. I hope to see this establishment take off, it deserves the chance, so go and have you private functions there! Franklin will be happy too!

Loved the Big Band String of Pearls

The live music was great, extremely understaffed, arrived at 7:30 food came at 9:30. Food was ok but not worth the wait. I understand the staff that was there was overwhelmed but they were also unpleasant, borderline rude, as though their job was inconvenienced by customers who wanted to eat.

Lucy the wonderful lady that served us in the bar was wonderful.

I wish I could taste the food but I didn't get the chance. After standing at the desk for five minutes I went looking for someone. I was interested in the salad bar but it was empty. Only served on weekends. I guess that makes sense because there was a total of four cars in the parking lot. The food may be good but I will never find out.

The Thanksgiving buffet was delicious. Haven't been here in years but recommend people give it a try. New owners are doing a good job!

Great food, relaxing ambiance, good drinks. Friendly staff, and good prices....cant ask for better really.
